TacMed Solutions
TacMed Solutions, short for Tactical Medical Solutions, was founded by a former Special Forces medic who saw firsthand what fails in the field and what doesn’t. That experience shows in every product they make: simple to use under stress, tough enough for harsh conditions, and compact enough to actually carry. We stock the TacMed gear our customers reach for most, from the tourniquet on your belt to the splint in your vehicle kit.The SOFTT: A Tac Med Favorite
The SOF Tourniquet (SOFTT) is one of the most popular tourniquets we sell. Its windlass is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, and it pairs a wide compression strap with a durable buckle. It comes in five colors, so you can match your gear or make it easy to spot in a kit. If you’re weighing it against other options, our tourniquet buying guide compares the SOFTT with the CAT and others side by side.
OLAES Modular Bandages
Most trauma bandages do one job. The TacMed OLAES does several. Each bandage includes 3 meters of sterile gauze for wound packing, a removable plastic sheet for occlusive use, and a clear pressure cup that focuses pressure on the wound while letting you see if bleeding has stopped. Choose the 4" OLAES for limbs and compact kits, or the 6" OLAES for larger wounds.
RISE Splint
The RISE (Rigid Immobilization System for Extremities) folds flat for storage and sets up as a straight splint, a 90-degree splint, or a pelvic binder when paired with a windlass or ratcheting tourniquet. Its lightweight plastic is easy to clean and holds up to harsh conditions, including saltwater.
Building Out Your Kit
TacMed gear fits right into any bleeding control or trauma setup. Pair a SOFTT and an OLAES bandage with hemostatic gauze from our Stop the Bleed supplies for a lightweight kit that covers the most common life threats. And whatever you carry, practice with it. The right gear only works with the right training.
