I started the Skinny Medic YouTube channel in 2009 with one goal was to make emergency medical education practical, easy to understand, and accessible to everyone.

In 2013, my wife and I founded Medical Gear Outfitters to provide high-quality first aid and trauma equipment that we trust and use ourselves. Today, we continue to own and operate the company alongside an incredible team of employees who help us serve customers across the country.

While creating educational content and running Medical Gear Outfitters keeps me busy, I still proudly work as a paramedic. Staying active in EMS allows me to continue learning, serving my community, and ensuring the information I share is based on real-world experience not just theory.

I have worked in EMS since 2002 and continue to work as a paramedic. That real-world experience has shaped the Skinny Medic platform from the beginning.
