Emergency Response Kits

You never know when you will be the first responder. Our emergency response kits put bleeding control, wound care, burn treatment and splinting supplies in one compact bag you can grab in seconds. Each kit is assembled by Medical Gear Outfitters, a company founded by a paramedic, so the supplies match what you actually reach for on scene. Choose a complete kit or restock the one you already carry.

What Is in Our Medical Response Kits?

Every complete kit includes a 6" Israeli emergency bandage, 5x9 trauma pads, 4x4 gauze, sterile Kling and an occlusive dressing for bleeding and chest wounds. You also get burn cream, sting and bite pads, antibiotic and hydrocortisone creams, an aluminum splint, triangle bandages, a cold pack, aspirin and Benadryl. Responder tools include EMT shears, tweezers, a penlight, a CPR shield, gloves and a Mylar emergency blanket.

Choose the Right Response Kit

The Response Kit is our everyday pick for vehicles, offices, gyms and job sites, with a carry handle, removable shoulder strap and MOLLE strap. The 7" x 10" Vanquest FATPack Response Kit packs the same supplies into a rugged Vanquest pouch for hikers, range bags and tactical setups. Already own a bag? The Response Kit Refill turns it into an emergency response kit.

Why Carry an Emergency Response Kit?

A serious bleed can become life threatening before EMS arrives. Emergency response kits close that gap with the supplies to stop bleeding, protect a wound and keep someone warm until help gets there. Unlike a standard first aid kit, our medical response kits add trauma level items while staying small enough for a glove box, desk drawer or backpack.

Built by a Paramedic

Our response kits are packed by job, so you find the right item fast when your hands are shaking. Need more capability? Add a tourniquet from our trauma kits collection, or step up to a full bag from our first responder kits.

Keep Your Kit Ready

Check your kit every six months and after every use. Replace used items and any expired ointments or medications. The Response Kit Refill restocks every consumable in one order, and our refill and resupply center carries individual items.

FAQs

What is an emergency response kit? An emergency response kit is a compact medical kit built to treat serious injuries in the first minutes before EMS arrives. Unlike a basic first aid kit, it adds trauma supplies such as an emergency pressure bandage, occlusive dressing and splint.

What is the difference between a response kit and a trauma kit? A response kit covers a wide range of everyday injuries, including burns, bites, sprains and minor wounds, plus some bleeding control. A trauma kit focuses almost entirely on life threatening bleeding with tourniquets, hemostatic gauze and chest seals.

Who should carry a medical response kit? Anyone who could be first on scene: drivers, coaches, teachers, security staff, hunters, hikers and off duty medical professionals. Our medical response kits are small enough for a car, desk or backpack.

How often should I restock my response kit? Inspect it every six months and after every use. Replace used items and any ointments or medications past their expiration date. The Response Kit Refill restocks every consumable in one order.

Do your emergency response kits include a tourniquet? No. Our response kits include a 6" Israeli bandage for bleeding control. We recommend adding a CoTCCC recommended tourniquet from our trauma kits collection if you want full bleeding control capability.
